Yes, weight loss a huge concern to people all over the internet. I am sick and tired of reading all the articles about losing weight saying blah blah blah run jog. I don’t want to run or jog, i’m 13 years old and weight about 140 pounds but people tell me i look pretty skinny but i don’t feel skinny. My sister is keep calling me fat, she one year older than me and i just want to prove to her when i get skinny i’m gonna be the one calling her fat.
Now can someone tell me some shocking weight loss tips that could help me. I’ve seached the whole entire yahoo answers for questions that relate to me and it can’t seem to help. The part where i am mostly concerned about is my thighs, they are all blubber-y and its hard to believe that a child has cellulite until you’ve met me. I just want to be like everyone else and wear shorts not black pants all summer long.
The answer i want is not “your young live your childhood” i want something that works and feels that it works. The reason i think i may have gained a lot of weight it because of starbucks, yes i know starbucks is good but also fattening, i gain weight all because of those delicious frapps.
My favourite exercise is doing squats for straight on 5 minutes its really hard, but it actually works.

P.S The only equipment i have it 2 pounded weights and i have a fitness room in my condominium so i could also do fitness activities there.

Try doing a lot of situps and crunches every night. I also heard that some excersizes actually make your legs bigger as you go because of the growing muscles so i reckon that situps and crunches are the most convenient and easy excersize to do.

your thighs will respond to simple exercises that aren’t running or jogging. If you have a short porch why don’t you use the stairs as a stairmaster? Step up with the left, then the right. Then step down with the left and the right. Make these steps deliberate and your butt will be tone and great!

beat food cravings by taking multivitamins, body gets the nutrients it needs without the craving to be fed. High gear bike riding works well for me, and it gives me the opportunity to see alot, and not be bored with my surroundings. I go at night until i am comfortable to not care about people who are out during the day

okay…..the best way to lose weight fast is to wear a lot of stuff so you sewat out your water weght and also…this is a fact that works to the fullest extent…..if you spit all day everyday you will lose 3 pounds a day…and if you incorporate exercise with it you will be sure to lose weight before school starts…honest..:)

I’m 1 year younger than u and weigh more how tall r u hahahehe well u do have to run, jog, eat healthy, or whatever u can to lose weight no pills escpecially if ur gonna be in sports well u need to listen to all those blog ive been out of school fora month and lost 15 lbs already from doin what i do but u dont wanna run or jog

okay.. well I am 15, and I also have the same problem as you! I am determined to lose weight by the end of summer. I have been using the special k diet..and it works! if you don’t eat much and keep yourself hydrated.. like 5 to 8 cups of water a day. Biking, squats, and walking can do the trick. I am not a runner either.. so you can walk for long periods of time, or jog and walk. Another thing is, I used to drink frappachinos all the time, but now I like the Vivanno’s! They are delicious. haha and way WAY less calories than frapps. Just give it some time, and try to make a chart, for food and exercise! I really hope I helped!!

go out and run. that builds your legs, heart, and your core. You also feel amazing after you run 3 miles. When you work up to it there is nothing more relaxing than running 6 miles. It clears your head of all the stress. Join Cross Country in High School.

Stop drinking your calories, especially those delicious chocolate-caramel-etc starbucks drinks and soda. Drink water instead, and you will be knocking out a ton of calories every day. If you have on-demand on your tv at home, they have free workout clips that rarely need anything more than some light hand weights and about 20 minutes of your time. I love the yoga and pilates ones. Cardio exercises are a lot more effective than targeting one area with strenth training. Combine a short cardio workout with light weight lifting that targets each area of your body will make you leaner. Also walking or riding your bike to your friends houses instead of getting a ride is a great way to get exercise and live green. Cut back on processed foods, white breads and non-whole grain carbs, and eat less meat and you will be so much healthier!

It is very simple
Stop drinking soda and eating sweets for a month. (including starbucks)
Exercise for minimum of 30 minutes each day. Go to the park, swimming or use the cardio equipement in your apartment building.
Limit the amount of carbs you eat.
What I personally do food wise is make a huge pot of vegetable soup and eat that for lunch and dinner for a month or two while eating some fruit and yogurt for breakfast with occasional slice of toast. It may sound boring but it works fast!!!
And don’t miss meals as that lowers your metabolism making it hard to shed the the fat.

well the best way to lose weight (over time of course) is to sleep right and eat a good breakfast. while u sleep is wen the fat u burn during the day is lost and a good bfast helps regulate ur blood sugar witch lessens cravings for unhealthy foods

Unfortunately, the answer really is “You’re young,” and at 13 you’re still growing so much that trying to lose any amount of weight would probably just stunt your growth. Just wait it out, you’ll sort of… stretch out. When I was your age I was short and fat, and now I’m still short, but not quite as fat haha. Point is: relax. I’m not going to tell you to “live your childhood,” because when you’re 13 you’re not a child anymore, but you ARE still growing and you have to account for that.

hey chill… you know the best way to cut down on your weight is # watch your diet, what I mean by that is that eat whatever you want to but don’t forget to exercise for at least 30 minutes a day.
The best way for you to exercise is by swimming…did you know that swimming is like the #1 fastest way to loose weight? If you swim then I am pretty sure that you have noticed that after swimming you feel very hungry…that is because the internal fat deposit is being broken down. So I would say that do lots and lots of swimming and you will surely loose lots of weight. And oh also by the way, after your done swimming don’t go to starbucks.

What ever you do don’t resort to bulemia. It’s disgusting your gums will decay I used to be bulemic now I have a rib that pops, gingivitis and I had to get one of my back teeth removed. Try to eat healthy and when you’re craving unhealthy food just remember how much more satisfying not eating it will be because you will start to see your body changing and improving instead of tasting. You already know what it tastes like.. drink water or chew gum instead. And when you eat try to savor the food. Pay attention, take small bites and acknowledge what you’re doing. So that you are satisfied.

i hope i help . im 14 an i weight 100 pounds. people consider me as skinny but i stay skinny cause i work out. i do push ups and pull ups. do them everyday . even if you cant do push ups or pull ups lift some light weights and they’ll get you some muscle. THE MORE MUSCLE, THE LESS FAT.i remember when i wanted to loose weight too before school began. i actually tried. I didn’t know how i did it but i didn’t eat junk food for like 4 months. its very hard to stay on a strict diet. and i was getting chubby when i was 13. but working out got me toned. now i have a “4 pack”. but don’t give up because all your muscle goes away. i know that sucks.

Very simple…STOP EATING “GARBAGE”… FAST FOOD…SODA… CANDY…MAC AND CHEESE…FRIED FOOD… CHEESE STICKS…ICE CREAM…CAKE…PIE…SUGAR…YOU GET THE POINT? Why would you want to stoop to your sisters level??? You are 13…not 3. Skip starbucks…not only are they making you fat…but they are stealing your money. For what you are paying for “2 of your fav drinks…I could buy a whole pound of coffee. Buy the “sugar free” flavors in the store… buy and make your own coffee. Watch what you eat…look at portion sizes… do you eat a whole box of mac and cheese??? eat 1/4 of that…that is “A SERVING SIZE” CHECK SERVING SIZES “ALWAYS.

RULES: (im going to be brutaly honest, be prepared.)
-NO more “oh so yummy delish frapps from StArBuCkS. Like o m g i just might die if i cant have my daily dosage of SUGAR.” Like really who needs to drink that every day? Thats like going to Steak and shake and drinking one of there milkshakes everyday. UNHEALHTY. And if you just want to look “cool” or “grown up” because you’re drinking starbucks then thats really annoying. hah.
-NEWS FLASH. Sorry, but you’re going to have to run. Doing sit ups and squats are just going to build muscle UNDER the FAT. You wont even be able to see them. And you will just keep putting on pounds because all your doing is building muscle and not losing fat. Don’t be lazy, if you really wanna lose weight you need to have to work for it! JOG for atleast 45 mins and then walk for 20. Do this for about a week. Gradually increase your time and speed.
-2 pound weights aren’t going to do anything. They are a good idea to bring with you on a jog though, but besides that don’t even bother.
-I reccomend going to the fitness room. IF you don’t want to jog outdoors go on a treadmill. Put it on incline so it really works your thighs, and don’t forget the 2 pound weights.
-Drink a lot of water. Drink water as much as you blink. Always have a bottle of water at hand.
-Absolutly no fast food. Mcds, Pizza Hut, Chick-fi-lay, Burger King, NOT even SUBWAY.
- Check you’re sodium intake. Foods in boxs, bags, and cans have a TON of salt. You would be surprised at the amount of sodium you probably intake each day. I thought i was eating good, but then realized how salt was actually in so called “healthy food”. Sodium causes your body to retain a lot of water, which makes you feel pufffy and big. Try eating as much FRESH food as you can.
-Don’t be so spiteful. IF you lose weight good for you. Don’t lose weight because you want to call your sister fat. You don’t like it when she calls you fat, so don’t say it to her.
-You have not had a good work out if you don’t sweat.. Im talking about real sweat. Like drips of sweat. Don’t take the easy way out. If you want real results then do REAL work.
-Im sorry if i came off a little harsh. I just want you to know that it is hard work, and you’re not going to get anywhere by doing a few sit ups, bending your knees a little… You don’t have to be a runner to run. You were lucky enough to be given two healthy legs. Use them… and run until you feel like you can’t run anymore ( not 5 mins later.)
-Last but not least, good luck and DON’T GIVE UP
