   @eSpEEonage I actually am German myself, for your information. Maybe I don’t speak the language fluently anymore because I moved away from the country as a young child and don’t often get the opportunity to speak the language, so I’m sorry that my German is not perfect. That is how I learnt it, perhaps we speak a different dialect.

   @paulmccartneyrocks Actually, dick means fat in Google Translator German. In the actual German it means fat. Maybe you should leave the translating to the actual Germans that know their language.

    The way I generally see it is that you use ‘fett’ to describe something that is fatty, like food, and ‘dick’ to describe people and objects. It’s a cognate to ‘thick’.

    The reason people gain weight when dieting is because they are starving their bodies and the body will trigger the “starvation” mechanism and just store every little calorie that goes in.

    Dieting makes you fat!
